The Darkseid xSF Mirrors

Well, it's the end of an era. The mirrors are finally offline.

It was a good run while it lasted, and I'd like to thank the thousands of people who visited my mirror and put it in their favorites. I'm glad to know I helped some people out.

I've decided to stop running the mirrors for two reasons:

1) My host really couldn't afford to keep paying the high bills, and since he gives me free webspace out of the kindness of his heart (free in the sense he's basically paying for my stuff) I think the least I can do is abide by his request. The mirrors were up for nearly 19 months, and he's patiently been there for me, and so this is the least I can do. And...

2) I hadn't updated them in months anyway. :p Real life has taken a hell of a lot of my time - besides being a fulltime college student, I also help run BeyondUnreal and Edge Emulation - and that's not even getting into my PERSONAL life. (I've just had a death in the family, for starters...) I simply don't have the time to actively check for updates anymore, and so I'm not as effective in running this mirror as I was a year ago.

Perhaps these mirrors will return again one day; perhaps not. If you'd really like to see them back, feel free to donate me webspace and bandwidth and they'll be back up near-immediately. But unless sherl0k changes his mind, I'm respecting his wishes, and since he's the one paying the bills, it really doesn't matter what I say - what he says goes, because he certainly doesn't have to host me if he didn't want to.

I'm not going to drop off the scene; I'll still be around in some capacity. I'm constantly idling on the official IRC channel (#PSF on irc.zirc.org) and I'll still seed the Katamari Damacy Torrent if I ever find people on it, but for all intents and purposes, this is the end for now.

There will be a new project related to game music coming around these pages very soon, though, so check back here or on Bandwidthmonkey's main page from time to time.

In closing, I'd like to sum up a line from the Queen song, "We are the Champions." You've brought me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it... I thank you all.
